XboxPolis is always looking for new writers to keep them on the track of heroism, and you could be the next one! We're looking for talented individuals that are able to deliver the latest headlines that surface the Xbox universe.

Writing takes skill and time, but still can be easily done. While we don't post top-notch news articles,
we prominently get the information out, with all the facts in, and just a bit of humor.

As an up and coming site, XboxPolis doesn't receive views beyond magical numbers, but we are
still noticed among the gaming community. Bringing a clean slate of articles, we're able to keep
the attention of many Xbox gamers that are browsing the web, whether it be looking at scores
for reviews or reading about some brand new downloadable content available for their game.

At Midnight on September 10th, 2008, 'XBOXPolis' was revealed to the public on free website 'maker' Wetpaint. And now, reaching to almost 2 years of business, we've somehow made it through the internet and made ourselves somewhat prominent in the gaming world. And even with so many changes within those two years, we've still managed to find our way to get our information out there. And now, we're here to cover anything that erupts around the Xbox, with news, reviews, special event coverage, and much more. Our goal is to inform, entertain, and partially educate.

WRITER (Large amount wanted, undetermined)
We're looking for a large amount of writers that we hope will be able to post news articles on a weekly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Love for the Xbox, Xbox 360 console
  • Xbox LIVE Account, preferably 'Gold' membership
  • Somewhat experience with writing
  • Ability to share writing samples and go through basic training (through use of an online 'help' page)
  • Experience with Joomla, preferably...can be worked around easily
  • Ability to follow instructions said by administrations or higher ranked employees/writers
  • Knowing of the term "Spell Check"


REVIEWER (Small amount wanted, near 2-4 people)
We're looking for a small amount of reviewers that will be able to post reviews or previews on hopefully at least a monthly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Love for the Xbox, Xbox 360 console
  • Xbox LIVE Account, preferably 'Gold' memberships
  • Somewhat experience with writing
  • Ability to share writing samples and go through basic training (through use of an online 'help' page)
  • Experience with Joomla, preferably...can be worked around easily
  • Ability to follow instructions said by administrations or higher ranked employees/writers
  • Experience with gaming, someone who will be able to get through a full game quickly, but not to where reviewing is difficult
  • Access to Xbox 360/Kinect-branded games, whether through purchase or rental of game through GameFly, Blockbuster, Family Video, etc.
  • Use of best judgment when reviewing the game


APPLICATION DEVELOPER (Small amount wanted, 1 person or small team)
We're looking for a small team, or single person to develop a mobile application for the Windows Phone 7 Series (primarily), and/or iPhone, and/or Droid.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with mobile applications, with past work you'll be able to show
  • Experience with developing with Windows Visual Studio (2010) and/or other products used to develop applications, preferably
  • Ability to share video and/or photos of process done (not full process, can be cut down) to create mobile applications
  • Ability to update application when asked to
  • Purchase or owning of phone in which you would be publishing on
  • Knowing of news Feeds and how to edit them to look modern and in-tact with application development and look
  • Experience with some sort of Flash product, like Adobe or Silverlight, etc.; along with experience with photo editing products, such as Photoshop, Paint.NET, etc.
  • Ability to send constant updates to us regarding the continuation of the application
  • Knowing that fees will be covered by us (only for publishing the application or similar grounds, other products must be owned by you) but that you will not be payed for the application development (which explains our reasoning of a one-person or small team requirement).
