I think we're all hoping Bad Company 2: Vietnam won't just be AI placed on multiplayer map Laguna Presa.
Electronic Arts and DICE's first-person shooter Battlefield: Bad Company 2 returns with another VIP map pack, and as always, will not feature any actual new maps.
VIP Map Pack 4 includes Atacama Desert for Rush mode and Port Valdez for Conquest mode. Atacama Desert is a vast, vehicle-filled desert (as you may have guessed) and was originally for Conquest mode, but is also available in Squad Rush and Onslaught modes. Port Valdez is an Alaskan oil & gas reserve and was originally for Rush and Squad Rush modes.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2's Map Pack 4 is free to those who purchased the game free and/or have a VIP code. From the looks of the "Store" section, we will be seeing two more free add-on's in the future (again, free for VIPs), which will be more than likely map packs.
Other stuff is available for purchase on Battlefield Bad Company 2, for those itching to use those Microsoft Points. Onslaught Mode, a mode similar to Gears of War's Horde mode and Halo's Firefight mode came available a few weeks ago, and is available for 800 Microsoft Points (which means it's not free for VIPs). Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam is an upcoming add-on which will feature from what we know to be as a mini-campaign, and will break loose this Winter 2010.
